JACK'S STORY
Jack is a three year old boy who loves superheroes, fire trucks and playing at the pool with his friends. In Febuary, he was diagnosed with an aggressive germ cell tumor and received four rounds of chemotherapy at UVA before it was discovered that he would need a stem cell transplant to more effectively treat the cancer. He and his parents, Mike and Emily, have moved to Philadelphia for the next few months so that Jack can receive cutting edge treatment at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

The funds raised through JackFest will go directly to Jack and his family, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Child Life Program at UVA. This program provides support and services for families whose children are facing life threatening health challenges. Jack and his family have benefited greatly from the amazing work that their team is doing here in our community.
